Volunteer Positions
Ambassador: Have you worked the Arts Festival so many times that you know it like the back of your hand? If you’d like to spend your time helping others find what they need and handing out guidebooks, this is the job for you!
Art Activities Assistant: Work with Festival staff in the Hands-on Activity area to help children and adults create their own masterpieces. Be prepared to have fun!
NCH Columbus Wishing Tree Project: Located in the Hands-on activity area, you'll work with community members to help them share their wishes for the Nationwide Children's Hospital Wishing Tree Project in celebration of the opening of the new hosptial the following weekend, June 10.
Artist Booth Monitors: Give artists a much-needed 5-15 minute break! You will make yourself available in an assigned section of artist booths. This is a great opportunity to get to know some of the artists and get a more personal view of the Festival.
Set-up Crew: This is for those that like a more physical challenge. (Must be able to lift 50 pounds) Help the Festival set-up on Thursday and open each day. Duties may include tent and table set up, delivering supplies to various locations around the Festival site, stocking information booths, etc.
Souvenir Sales: Being a part of the souvenir sales team at the Arts Festival is all of the fun of retail sales — great products, fun people to work with and a never-ending supply of customers!
Stagehands: Help with the set-up and take down of equipment for the Arts Festival musical acts.
Tear-down Crew: Help the Festival close each evening. Also for those who like a more physical challenge. Duties may include Friday/ Saturday delivering supplies to various locations around the Festival site. Sunday (only) we need you for tent and table tear down after the Festival closes.
VIP Tent: Check patrons for VIP passes. Help with behind the scene tours and much more in the special VIP area. Must be 21 or over to volunteer in this area.
World’s Largest Penny Chain: See Kids Dream will take on the Guinness Book of World’s record for the longest continuous penny chain. Part of a larger service project for school children in Columbus, this exciting activity will bring national exposure and thousands of people to Genoa Park on Sunday June 3, 2012. (Please note: If you volunteer for this activity only, and no other Arts Festival shifts, you will not receive a Festival volunteer shirt).
Miscellaneous: Too hard to pick your favorite volunteer job? As a miscellaneous volunteer, you’ll be the one that is there to fill the jobs that are most needed when you arrive for your shift.
