Additional activities during Connect A Million Minds Day include:

Do you think you can dance? Dancers are artists but they are also athletes and it takes functional fitness, flexibility, balance, strength and extreme range of motion to succeed. Join BalletMet and The Ohio State University Sports Medicine Center’s Performing Arts Medicine Team as they present The Science of Movement. Come get tested in a fun and safe environment to see if you measure up.

Create an Art Apparatus! How do you look at art? The Columbus Museum of Art invites you to create a device for experiencing art in a new way. Materials will be provided to create an apparatus that allows you to see, hear, or maybe even smell art! When you are finished you will have a tool for exploring art’s amazing possibilities!

Interactive play with balloons will create a unique once in a lifetime experience. Join COSI in the Columbus Museum of Art lobby for the creation of a life-size balloon constructed Dinosaur. Visit the Hands On activity area for a full schedule of demonstrations and activities

Take an exciting adventure with CATCO and Phoenix Theatre to explore your knowledge of slope, coordinates, and stage directions. Your mission, should you decide to accept it: Join us as we explore the mystery of a stolen Escher lithograph. With the help of Mrs. Peabody, a museum curator, we will venture to Mt. Machu Picchu where we will exercise acting skills and mathematical methods to restore the missing artwork to its rightful owner.
