Thinking of starting an art collection? Interested in what kinds of questions to ask an artist when purchasing their work? Wondering if there is an art buying "etiquette"?
Get those answers and more on our Art of Collecting Panel tips page. Moderator Denny Griffith, President of the Columbus College of Art & Design hosted a panel in February that included Priscilla Tyson, Columbus City Councilmember and president of Star Arts Gallery; Catherine Evans, curator of photography at the Columbus Museum of Art; Duff Lindsay, gallery owner; and collectors Roy Gottlieb and Ellen Pizzuti. The panelists provided personal insights on how they started their collection, tips on how to purchase art and why festivals can make good options for beginning or building an art collection.
If you want to get up close and personal with how the Festival runs year-round we'd love to talk to you about our Coordinating Committee.
