The 2013 Columbus Arts Festival presented by Time Warner Cable will again take place at the Downtown Riverfront June 7, 8 & 9. Columbus’ Scioto Mile and Bicentennial Park will be transformed into a stunning, outdoor art gallery as the nation’s top artists display their work and attract art enthusiasts from all over the country.
It wouldn’t be the Columbus Arts Festival without the many talented visual artists and craftspeople who will be showing and selling their work the entire weekend.
The 2013 Columbus Arts Festival will proudly feature more than 270 artists who were chosen to participate by a panel of arts experts from more than 1,000 applicants in 15 types of media. The Columbus Arts Festival offers a unique opportunity not only to buy exquisitely crafted, one-of-a-kind works of art, but to actually meet the artist who created it, learn about their skill and technique and to hear firsthand the stories behind the work.
The Emerging Artists program will feature several central Ohio artists at the Columbus arts Festival. These fine artists are new to the outdoor festival scene and the Columbus Arts Festival works to guide them through the process and experience step-by-step. The most exciting aspect of this program is that it gives us the opportunity to raise the profile of some of our most talented local artists and give them a boost towards a career in exhibiting their work.
2013 Columbus Arts Festival Visual Artist Application is now closed. For more information about the Columbus Arts Festival’s jury policy please view our Festival Prospectus. All artist applicants are notified by mid-February of the jury results.
